October 17, 2018, Decatur, TX – ENERGY worldnet, Inc. (EWN) is excited to welcome Steve Allen (pictured left) to the EWN staff as the company’s Executive Director of Pipeline Safety. An Experienced Pipeline Safety Regulator with an extensive history in the utility industry, Mr. Allen is a past member of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) Technical Pipeline Safety Standards Committee, also known as the Gas Pipeline Advisory Committee (GPAC). He is also a former Chairman for the National Association of Pipeline Safety Representatives and was the Director of Pipeline Safety for the state of Indiana. As the Executive Director of Pipeline Safety at EWN, Steve Allen will be responsible for continued contributions to the advancement of safety standards and programs in the oil and gas industry. Allen will also be responsible for the pipeline safety management program at EWN. October 1, 2018, Decatur, TX – ENERGY worldnet, Inc. (EWN) is proud to welcome Matt Joiner, Doctor of Education, as the company’s Executive Director of Continuing Education and Training. A graduate of the Texas Tech Doctoral Program with over 18 years of experience in public education, Dr. Joiner will be responsible for leading the EWN Education Department in coordinating efforts with higher education institutions and accreditation programs. When asked about adding Dr. Joiner to the EWN staff, Mayra Maese, Senior Vice President of Education and Compliance, stated, “At EWN, we are committed to setting the benchmark for our industry’s workforce development needs. Dr. Joiner is the perfect person to lead our Education Department in developing the next generation of education and training programs. PSMS is not just another program you purchase, read, and place on the shelf until next year. It is a culture of safety and accountability that begins with leaders and managers and works all the way down to employees and contractors. PSMS is not a regulatory requirement that you check off your list as complete either. It is something you do voluntarily because you believe in it – because it’s the right thing to do. Buy-in from leadership and management is the first step toward ensuring that your PSMS program gets off the ground and progresses forward. Managing your task list doesn’t have to be tedious or daunting. At EWN, we are committed to providing clients and the industry with the most intuitive information you can use to manage task lists more effectively. We recently met with Operators across the industry and found several common challenges they’re facing regarding task list management. In this article, we will cover some of these issues plus our solutions and recommendations on how to help manage tasks lists. One of the most common things we found among operators was outdated task lists. Here is the scenario: You have been promoted to manage the company’s OQ (Operator Qualifications) Program.
