EWN-CBT- Visual Inspection of the Right of Way (Walking or Driving) (15.1, 1311)

Under 49 CFR Part 192.705, natural gas or other gas transmission line right-of-ways must be inspected periodically to insure that they are being maintained in a safe manner.

Under 49 CFR Part 195.412(a) each pipeline ROW must be inspected at least 26 times per year at intervals not exceeding 3 weeks.

The purpose of this course is to teach the learner how to conduct a walking or driving inspection of the right-of-way (ROW) through identifying the evidence that can determine emergency or environmental damage on the ROW. The learner will learn to identify environmental as well as physical damage that should be reported as part of the inspection.
