Thinking About Getting Your Education Online?

 Online Learning
Today more than any other time in history, people are getting their education from the Internet. ENERGY worldnet, Inc. understands this increasing popularity and wants to provide information on getting your education online. Distance learning, or how it’s commonly called “E-learning” or “eLearning”, provides students with the opportunity to take an educational class without physically sitting in a classroom.

This is very helpful for people who either work fulltime, travel, or do not have regular access to a local campus. Some of the advantages that are appealing to more and more people include:
Man on computer
  • Flexibility
  • Lower costs
  • Student-centered approach to learning

E-learning provides students the flexibility to take an educational course any time of day anywhere in the world. Online training can potentially eliminate several costs that would otherwise be incurred by a student attending a local campus. These eliminated costs can include money for gas, parking, and books.

The student-centered approach allows the student to completely understand the information before they choose to move on to the next topic. The information is always the same and does not differ as is possible with a classroom instructor. This approach to learning is critical for students to be successful when learning new material. E-learning is becoming both an advantage and a necessity for an increasing number of people.

New System Features: Enhanced User Experience

As part of our commitment to providing superior technology, quality education content, and unmatched customer service, ENERGY worldnet, Inc. will be releasing some exciting new features for the EWN system. These updates will include enhancements to your user experience.

What to expect:

- New Look & Feel
- Steps toward Browser Independence
- Simplified Navigation Structure
- Drill-Down Menus
- Established New Input Screen Standards

What does this mean for my Employees?

For the Basic User: Employee who uses the system to complete the online training & testing.

Basic users will not be greatly impacted by the new system enhancements. The login and welcome/home page will look different, but the functionality remains the same. The main navigation menus have been replaced with drill-down menus that allow users to expand and collapse each section.

Users will login with their same username and password. To access their training modules, users will click on the link “My Requirements” and access the training just has they are accustomed.

The Individual section still contains links to My Profile, My Task/Training Status, My Job Title Status, My Directly Assigned Evaluations, and the Activity Report for the employee. If users have the permissions, the links to Schedule Training, View Company Links and View Company Forms have been moved from the “Home” page to the drop-down menu in the “Individual” section.

The Message Center link is still available on the “Home” page, as well as the Dashboard for users with the permission.

What does this mean for Supervisors & Administrators?

Users with Supervisor and/or Administrator Permission > These are users within your company that have administrative privileges like assigning tasks, adding users, running reports, submitting evaluations and building courses.

As opposed to the Basic User, Administrators and Supervisors will be more greatly affected by the new system updates.

The most notable change you will see, the “Operator” and “Contractor” sections have been taken from the “Home” page and those elements have been moved to the “Admin” section. As result, you will no longer need to navigate between the Operator/Contractor sections and the “Admin” tab to Add Users, Assign Tasks, View a Task List, and/or run Reports. You can now complete each of these tasks in the “Admin” section.

Another notable change, the “Admin” page links have been reorganized by function to simplify your navigation screen. For example a submenu has been created for Organizational Tools. In this menu you will find the links to Facilities, Groups and Job Titles. The process for adding/editing these remains the same as before.

Remember, it is not how you perform functions in the system that has been updated; it’s the navigation-the way you access those functions. This new navigation enhances your browsing experience as the end-user and system admin within your company.
